This is absolutely my favorite restaurant in Lancaster. We have been going there several times a year for the past few years. The quality and taste of every dish we've gotten there is amazing. Two of my favorites at Josephine's are actually appetizers - both the Chilean sea bass and antelope are excellent. But honestly, you'll love everything you get there. The service is excellent, and everyone is very friendly. Shout out to Hunter who is an excellent server and gives great recommendations.

We had an exceptional dinner experience at Josephine’s! Our server, Kyle, was fantastic, provided great recommendations and had the perfect level of attentiveness. We shared the sea bass, house bacon, and shrimp cocktail for starters and, while all were delicious, the sea bass was a real winner. The favorite fish was the duck breast - absolute killer. And all of the cocktails were creative and awesome, as well.

Located just below C'est La Vie, we hit the jackpot with their happy hour—what an incredible find! With half-price appetizers and 8 espresso martinis, it was an irresistible deal exclusive to the bar area. We couldn't resist, ordering six dishes and a martini, and the total came to just 91. What a steal! The elegant atmosphere, impeccable service from Zack and the team, along with the high quality of the food, made it a perfect night out. Highlights of the Dishes: House-Made Bacon: This dish was a standout. The succulent, smoky, tender meat was perfectly seasoned to enhance its natural richness, complementing the buttered spring cabbage. The Alabama white sauce added a tangy touch, while tea-soaked golden raisins brought a delightful sweetness. The quail egg vinaigrette offered a light and zesty finish. Every bite was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, a culinary experience that tantalizes the palate and satisfies the soul. Espresso Martini: As a fan of unsweetened iced black coffee, I was initially hesitant to try the espresso martini. But wow, it did not disappoint! The rich, bold, bittersweet flavors were perfectly balanced, with a velvety finish and hints of vanilla or chocolate that added warmth and complexity. A truly delicious surprise!

Our meals were fabulous (scallops and filet) and the service was absolutely outstanding. Thank you, Hunter, for making a special evening even more memorable for all of us. Our desserts (cheesecake and lemon meringue) were almost too beautiful to eat…but, of course, we somehow managed!

Loved the attention to detail in meal presentation and flavor. The butternut squash soup served in a half roasted acorn, topped with shaved truffles was amazing!! We also enjoyed as the decor and old time photos of movie stars from bygone times.

From start to finish this meal was incredible! We began the evening with the House Made Bacon which was perfectly cooked pork belly with buttered brussel sprouts, rosemary, burrata, pomegranate, and hot honey. Although it sounds like so unusual combinations it paired perfectly. Our other appetizer was a special and was a take on shrimp cocktail but with aïoli instead of the typical red sauce. Before dinner came out we decided to try a seasonal soup that was on the menu, the Honeynut soup. The soup’s presentation was unique coming in an acorn squash and was incredibly rich and savory - would recommend to anyone that wants to lean in to the fall spirit. For my main meal I ordered the Lemon Pepper Barramundi. If you haven’t had barramundi before I would describe it as a mild white fish that is meatier than tilapia. It was the perfect protein to accompany the black rice, carrots, peas and fantastic curry sauce. We finished the night with no room but couldn’t pass up the vanilla bean crème brûlée. If you love vanilla this is the perfect dessert, it’s full of beans and the custard was extremely decadent. I would absolutely recommend Josephine’s for a date night, business dinner or just because!

First, let me start off by saying how convenient they were, I was late for my reservation and they were so understanding I was still able to be seated. We had an amazing experience dining at the bar before heading to Fulton theatre. The service was incredibly attentive, with the bartender ensuring everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was absolutely spectacular—every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, even accommodating food restrictions. The timing was seamless, allowing us to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. It was the perfect pre-theatre spot, and we can’t wait to come back!
